Brain Connection Funnies
So, I was listening to the American Beauty soundtrack, the first track on which is "Dead Already" by Thomas Newman. This the doom doom doomp song played near the beginning---anyone who has seen the movie recognizes the song as distinctive to the soundtrack.
As the song was ending, my brain started singing, "War! Huh! What is it good for? Absolutely nothing!"
Wait, what?
Oh... right.
One of the many mix CDs which Whit and I listened to on the way to ultimate tournaments was his Revolution 1999 mix. This mix had "Dead Already" followed immediately by "War." Most likely, the last time I heard the first song was on the aforementioned mix. My brain, of course, could only conceive of "War" following in succession. I suppose similar brain farts would happen to me with the Beastie Boys and listening to their albums versus listening to greatest hits tapes I made.
Brains are funny.
