Glorious Long Weekend
It is Sunday night and I do not have to go to work tomorrow. Hooray! I have had a wonderful weekend of progress on the house and delicious food and relaxation. Sara, Skip, Brian and I drank and played Life on Friday night---I lost to Sara by $50,000 but we retired together on Millionaire Row. On Saturday, I awoke to visit destruction on the trees in my backyard then bought groceries and found an amazing Thundercats TV tray for Brian at a fortuitous yard sale.
We eventually played some pickup ultimate at CMC---we only had sixes but the game was still fun. One young woman who came out, Joanne, just graduated from Amherst College and knew Trina's brother, Brian. It's a small world, indeed. After ultimate, Zane came over and we cooked a bunch of delicious dinner---pork ribs on the grill, rosemary potatoes, salad, tofu nut balls, beer and wine.
Today we have been knocking down shelves and cleaning and painting. Brian and I plan to continue with the work tomorrow---hooray for the three day weekend again. Right now, we are watching Star Wars: A New Hope. This movie is wonderful and terrible all at the same time.
