Dvorak (Not a Nerd/Keyboard Post)
Note: I began writing this post on Wednesday, February 23 but did not finish or post it until the following day
Over the past few days, I have discovered that my productivity while listening to classical music is slightly greater than that when listening to anything else. So far, I have tried out the soundtrack from Amadeus, Mozart's Symphonies No. 40 & 41, and the Essential Dvorak, alongside Rilo Kiley and Jurassic 5 and my usual selections. Anyone have other recommendations?
Today has been again busier than expected---little issues and problems kept coming in or popping up. I seem to have resolve the Japan MATLAB license issue that appeared immediately upon my arrival. I printed a number of posters for a number of people and wrestled with TIE Fighter (the old Xerox Phaser 860DP which will soon be replaced by a much nicer Xerox color laser printer).
At lunch, I ran approximatley 3 miles in 20 minutes. I took a downhill-first route---Foothill to College to First to Claremont to Foothill---rather than my usual loop---Mills to Baseline to Claremont to Foothill. I continued the punishment with situps then lifting on my legs, with push-ups sprinkled throughout. My legs are actually sore, perhaps signalling that I gave them a good workout for once.
I am currently in discussion with Adam Levy, the tournament director for Sandblast, regarding my consulting to design and configure a Mambo site for his tournament. Sandblast is a beach tournament in Chicago, played on the shores of Lake Michigan. I have never been to the tournament but both Whit and Brian enjoyed it last year. Adam would like to refer me more business through BULA and a friend who does similar consulting. However this situation works out, I think this experience will be interesting and lucrative.
Tonight, I have Greenshirts practice and then Trina and I cook dinner---chicken stir fry with brown rice. After dinner, I am going to the local Honda repository to look at the used Accord and the new Civics (again). Finally, Lost is a repeat of the two-hour pilot, but Trina and I have never seen it. Wooo!
