Whoza Whatzit Now?

Post 1

I fixed and updated many elements of my template, ColorRun, and now am much happier with it. Huzzah! Regardless, I may present a new theme soon based on one of two background patterns with which I am particularly pleased.

My training was right on course until two days ago when the bottom of my left foot [...]

ColorRun!

Post 2

I have been a bit lackadaisical with my blogging lately—but not with my running! I have not missed any workouts in the last week: 8 miles at 7 AM on Sunday, 3 miles at lunch on Monday, biking and lifting at lunch and 6 miles in the evening on Tuesday, and 3 miles at lunch [...]

Happy Rest Day

Post 3

My body truly appreciates the rest on Friday. Even when I was not running, I was always exhausted at the end of the work week—I would fall asleep watching movies with Trina or have to go to bed early. Now, with running and work, Friday hits me particularly hard. This rest from training is essential.

Bib Number 3525

Post 4

I finally signed up for the San Francisco Marathon. Now my commitment is one hundred dollars official.

One lovely young [...]

Missing (but Running) In Action

Post 5

Despite my recent silence, I have not been lax in the past few days. On Sunday, I ran 11 miles just faster than 8 minutes per mile. Finding 11 miles in Claremont without extreme uphill and downhill is difficult and frustrating. I spent 20 or 30 minutes on gmap pedometer, finally settling on a route [...]

Sun’s Out, Guns Out

Post 6

Today was perfect for Southern California: sunny and warm but not too hot. My run felt amazing in this weather. I was up early for Greenshirts practice, at which we had 20 women out and excited. 20 women! I think today’s practice was the best turn-out we’ve had all semester. We have sectionals next weekend and [...]

Green Hill Hop

Post 7

No, I did not move to Seattle early. The hills above Claremont are verdant and green from all the recent rain. The view to the north is unreal—never have I seen them like this. I suppose we have never had so much rain late in the spring.

I ran 2.9 miles warm-up from Mudd up Mills [...]
