Is This It?

This is it.

When next I write, I will have finished the San Francisco Marathon.

In a few moments, I will leave Claire and Whit's apartment and ride the bus to the race expo. I will pick up my race packet, bib/number, free T-shirt, and other goodies. I will meet my mother soon after to try to relax until tomorrow morning.

The outpouring of support and good wishes has been tremendous---I will have dozens of thankful replies to write when I return to Seattle on Monday. To any of you who read this, thank you. Your words mean a great deal to me.

What else can I say? Tomorrow morning has been the focus of the last eighteen weeks of my life. This is it.
