Back in the Fall
I have not enjoyed a True Autumn since 1999, having spent the previous six in the near-seasonless Southern California. It is with much excitement and anticipation that I observe the now changing leaves in Seattle. According to this helpful map, we should soon be entering the height of Leaf Beauty in the Pacific Northwest.
Still, the Seattle autumn is bound to be more humid than I would prefer in this season. The crisp, dry air of New England in the fall is unmatched; one can smell and feel and taste the leaves changing. What I wouldn't give for one of those bright, cold, perfect days and a delicious, warm apple cider doughnut.

I love autumn. I have only lived here a few motnhs but I am a bit disappointed at the leaves. They have changed colour but they are a dull yellow and have all been beaten to the ground by the rain and storms we have had lately. I want a brightly colour forest scenery, dammit!
And, on an unrelated note, why does your site cause my "find" bar to open when I try to use the apostrophe?

Are you using Firefox? Hitting the apostrophe in Firefox opens up the 'Find' dialogue no matter what page you are browsing. I cannot speak to similar behavior in other browsers, as I refuse to use them.
