iHouse
I am reclining on my couch in my new house in Wallingford, having tweaked my foot/ankle last night at a summer men's hat league game. We played savage against a team with four subs but still managed a 15-12 victory. Charlie Matlack is on my team, which is good fun. On the last point, I accelerated in for a run-through defensive catch and, on one left plant, felt and heard a crazy double pop in my ankle. I caught the D, immediately threw away a huck, and then we got the block again and scored for the win.
Claire gave me an initial diagnosis this morning as well as exercises and practices to follow. If the injury has not subsided at all tomorrow, I will likely see a doctor for more in-depth analysis.
Just before Potlatch, I moved out of my studio apartment and into storage (Room 129), a 5' by 6' by 9' box that somehow fit all of my furniture and worldly possessions. Special thanks to Shy, Whit, Claire, Slider, Cara, Tank and Skip (Hobbie). After an amazing weekend with DarkHorse, I moved into a new house not a mile from my old apartment with Claire Storck, Deirdre Ronaldson, and Sarah Ross-Viles (and temporarily Krump Klump).
I am loving this new social living arrangement and our big backyard for grilling and badminton and beer croquet. Also, I am loving that everyone in this house (except Krump Klump) has an Apple laptop. Hooray! No in-house Windows support! Someone bet Deirdre that I would have internet access in the house before my bed was moved in. He or she was right.
And, finally, before I head off on my bum foot for a shower and work, I wanted to link to this Applegeeks comic that our house laptop arrangement made me remember. EDIT: Oh, and also this one. So true, so sad.

Drew, I love your new house! Staying with all of you made me want to live in Seattle (for the summer). Also, is it just me, or was classic, episodic, and lacking story arc apple geeks one of the sweetest web comics ever? I don't think it's just me.

I still love AppleGeeks, but you're right, the old comics were just fantastic. Also, old Machall was amazing but just got less and less funny with time. http://machall.com/view.php?date=2002-07-12 : )
AppleGeeks Lite has almost become what old AppleGeeks used to be.
And I look forward to your next visit, Joaq. Is family style coming up for ECC/Spawnfest?
