Irrelevant Yet Harmless

I receive some bizarre comment spam. Most of it is the standard phentermine/viagra/casino "Great design! Check out my site!" but take a gander at the comment on the post Hello on drewd. I just approved this missive from my moderation queue. He or she is not trying to sell anything and cannot earn anything from his or her "Wide Open Spaces" YouTube video other than publicity.

Does this comment have anything to do with the parent post? No. Was it actually written by a human? Dubious, but not entirely unlikely. Why would you set a bot to post YouTube video links? Do I have some Deutsch viewers of whom I was previously unaware? Anyway, I see no harm in approving the comment.

Incidentally, if one were to watch a YouTube video regarding wide open spaces, I would more strongly recommend this classic from Sesame Street.

Bah, youtube.com is block in the entire Department of Defense...

FYI, the spam may have been pushed out by the Storm botnet.

I forget how current you are regarding security issues. Also, working on Mac OS X and Linux, I forget that malware exists. I appreciate the heads-up but the link does in fact go to a normal YouTube video.
