Wallingford Night Stroll with Old Lens

When I was back east this August, my sister gave me an old lens belonging to my late grandfather, Don McLaughlin. This old Nikon-mount fits perfectly and shoots fine on my D70 digital SLR, despite requiring full manual operation: aperture, shutter speed and focus. The lens is a Vivitar Wide-Angle 28mm 1:2.8. I would link to an example but it is too old to be documented online.

I was restless this evening, after Ultimate practice having been canceled for rain, so I took a walk down through Wallingford to Gas Works to enjoy the autumn air and test the new old lens.

Check out the rest of the photographs in the album, Seattle night photographs. I am quite pleased with how they developed, and feel that I actually learned a bit in the process.
