Lei-Out 2008 Update
The online registration system is running well---we have had 13 teams register and pay so far. Last night, I implemented the capability for a registered but unpaid team to return to an existing bid. Now, I need player payment and roster management and an administrative interface to see bid status and send various related e-mails.
I am well on my way to putting together a solid and crazy fun DarkHorse for the tournament. I had such a fantastic time last year with this team and am optimistic for this squad. I think I will print dark jerseys this year and probably get them done by FiveUltimate. My Shadrach teammate Zahlen hooked us up for the series and I like their new fabric quite a bit.
And I finally found the time to respond to Nonny Mouse's comments on my Lei-Out site design. Oh, silly rodent.

Maybe all this work should go into an open source tournament planning software package? Just a random thought I had while reading your post.
Also, I like the http://leiout.com/ design. It pops out at you and is a nice change from daily web browsing. Yeah, its not the most readable thing in the world, but it doesn't need to be. In my opinion it creates a great first impression of LeiOut for first time visitors. Well done Drew.
