OK, so this may be freaking adorable, but what amount of resource expenditure (largely in person-hours) is allocated by the English government to save the life of a single dormouse? Ridiculous.
Note: I recognize that spending money on a dormouse is arguably more worthwhile than say, oh, I don’t know, the war in Iraq?
