Dunking Usher!

Alex

Sam, Matty and I headed to the Supersonics game last night. The Supes finished off the Grizzlies 108 - 101, despite the absence of Kevin Durant and a recurring comedy of errors masquerading as Seattle’s offense. Seriously, who doesn’t score in a 3 on 2? And, Durant, you missed your own bobble-head night because of “flu-like symptoms?” Weak sauce.

But never mind the Sonics: Mr. Alex Wells performed as a dunking usher for the first time at a Sonics game. For those of you who don’t know, the dunking ushers provide quarter break entertainment in the form of trick and flip dunks off trampolines, including contributions by the team mascot, Squatch. Alex performed great, hitting big air and sticking all his dunks and passes. Congratulations, bud!

did he really? And if so, why is there no photo evidence of this?

All I had with me was my iPhone camera and I was a bit far off to get a good shot. I’ll bring my real camera or give the iPhone another try the next time I go to a game.

Oh, but I think Schuyler has a video of Alex as a dunking usher from the UW women’s basketball game last weekend. I’ll try to procure that and get it online.
