It makes you learn to balance standing up right away, without having to wait until you&#039;re on a wave, and it&#039;s a great workout because it takes so many muscles to paddle that way. Also, it&#039;s much easier to see the waves coming when you&#039;re standing up! If they know what they&#039;re doing they should be able to turn almost on a dime, although turning sharply while moving is another story.</description>
