You’re a Nut! You’re crazier than a coconut!

Post 1

I am resigned to the extreme improbability of qualifying for the Boston Marathon by running the San Francisco Marathon. Chuck pointed out to me a few weeks ago that the course record for San Francisco is over two and a half hours---the record in Boston is 2:07:14. After stewing for a bit on this discrepancy, [...]

Drive Me to Firenze?

Post 2

I updated my gallery with photos from my time with Trina in Florence, Italy. This addition is just another step on the way to displaying all of our photos from Europe. Check, check, check it out: Florence 2005.
I am working on political websites for Brian and quite enjoying the products (at least aesthetically). I will [...]

How Easy Were They, Drew?

Post 3

My 800 repeats today were SOOOO easy that I ran six instead of five and lifted weights for half an hour afterwards. I ran in the second lane and my times, adjusted for the extra distance, were:

2:50
2:51
2:54
2:55
2:48
2:46

Saturday morning, I awoke at 5:30 AM and ran seven miles. Why so early? I had to return to shower [...]

Whoza Whatzit Now?

I fixed and updated many elements of my template, ColorRun, and now am much happier with it. Huzzah! Regardless, I may present a new theme soon based on one of two background patterns with which I am particularly pleased.
My training was right on course until two days ago when the bottom of my left foot [...]

ColorRun!

Post 6

I have been a bit lackadaisical with my blogging lately---but not with my running! I have not missed any workouts in the last week: 8 miles at 7 AM on Sunday, 3 miles at lunch on Monday, biking and lifting at lunch and 6 miles in the evening on Tuesday, and 3 miles at lunch [...]

Happy Rest Day

Post 7

My body truly appreciates the rest on Friday. Even when I was not running, I was always exhausted at the end of the work week---I would fall asleep watching movies with Trina or have to go to bed early. Now, with running and work, Friday hits me particularly hard. This rest from training is essential.
Tomorrow [...]
