“The Great Unknown”

Travelling via campervan has proven to be the way to see New Zealand. Not to say that our Corolla didn’t do the trick on the South Island, but waking up to rain and not being stuck in a tent is pretty nice. Anyway, on Tuesday we picked up our campervan that has to be in Auckland by Saturday. We spent two days with Spencer in Christchurch beforehand - went wine tasting in Waipara and went to Hanmer Springs. Spencer rode with us as far as Picton, where we caught the ferry to Wellington. We’ll have a video for all that soon, but in the meantime, here is the video for our South Island Adventure (see previous post).

Love the video, its beautiful there. Oh and Whit, good song choice!
I like being able to hear you guys talk, its nice to hear your voices every once in a while, I do miss them.
I started school this week, I am enjoying all of my classes. I have made friends in all of them, and they seem like they will all be very different and interesting. It’s nice being back at my apartment with Heather and Valerie and in my big bed again. over christmas I got about 4 cookbooks (haha)so I have been using one inparticular which is really good, “The Starving Vegitarian College Student” inexpencive meals, easy to follow, and servings are or one or two people, which is nice.
I will be done with the 3rd Harry Potter in the next day or two, so I’m still flying with that. My reading is getting significanly faster, my spelling not getting so much better though… sorry.
anyways, I miss you both. Whit send me an email soon!
    Love you guys,
    cait

    Hellooo!

We received you post card today! Thanks for thinking about us!! Funny that you mentioned about the sushi party . . . turns out that every time we go to plan it we end up not following through. I think it’s because it doesn’t feel the same without you guys. I think we’ll just have to hold out until you return. How many more months is it??! : )

We are doing well. We spent a week in Beaverton at Christmas and then a week at my parents place afterward. We got some skiing in with Yoxall, Marion and Breznay - the snow was a little sparse, but good times never fail with good company! Yox just got a projection tv, so we’re all heading up to his place for the Super Bowl.

Mikey has been crazy training for a half-marathon on Feb.4 with Sam and then a triathalon in May with some of the old Gold folks. He eats a lot now.

School is going much better! A new semester with a new class and 100 new students and I am loving it! It is amazing what a different level of students brings along with a semester of difficulty behind me.

Hope you guys continue to do well. I love reading about your adventures! Take care.

What a great video! Hearing your voices is a definate plus. New Zealand looks like a beautiful place. I hear that it is named after Zeeland: a soutwest region of the Netherlands. Which reminds me: I can’t wait for you guys to come out to Amsterdam. We are going to have such an averagely great time.
